A natural-born Monmouth resident, Scott Darby was born on January 15 and grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey. When attending school, his favorite subjects were PE and environmental science. After going to college for 4 years at Kean University, and getting a BS in PE and health, he moved back into Monmouth county, and currently lives in Wall with his two sons, Christopher and Shane (2 and 4), and his wife Jennifer. In his free time he enjoys swimming, baseball (his favorite team is the Yankees), golf, running, triathlons, and fishing. He also enjoys the summertime, going to the beach, green tea, pizza, and pretty much any kind of pie without nuts. Aside from teaching at HTHS, Scott Darby is the assistant swim coach at the Red Bank YMCA, an assistant baseball coach at Holmdel High School, and part of the beach patrol in the Borough of Lavallette.
