Education History:

• B.S. in Chemistry from The University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX)
• M.S. in Chemistry from The George Washington University (Washington D.C.)

Biography:

I was born in Louisville, KY and moved to Houston when I was 2. I knew I wanted to study chemistry after completing my first course in high school.

Upon graduation I began working as a research chemist at Firmenich Inc (a flavor and fragrance company in Plainsboro, NJ). I worked on many projects from flavor microemulsions in fruity beverages to encapsulation systems for enhanced fabric deposition for fabric softeners. Concurrent to my job at Firmenich, I taught chemistry at Middlesex County College.

In 2007 I left Firmenich to pursue a career in education and found myself gainfully employed at High Tech.

I enjoy reading books of different genres, traveling, visiting my family in Texas and cooking.
