On May 4 & 5, the High Tech Academic Team had two teams compete in the NAQT [National Academic Quiz Tournaments] Small School National Championship Tournament in Chicago, Illinois. The A-Team composed of Darren Petrosino, Steven Liu, Michael Li, and Cole Snedeker won the third-place trophy (1st photo below). Steven Liu also received a trophy as an Overall All-Star.

The B-Team composed Adrian Thamburaj, Eric Zheng, and Ivy Wang finished in 17th place (2nd photo below).

*Of interest note: The first place winner was Miami Valley of Dayton, Ohio and the second place winner was Parish Episcopal of Texas. On Saturday in the preliminary matches, the High Tech A-Team beat both Miami Valley [twice] and Parish Episcopal. However, in the elimination playoffs on Sunday, the A-team was unable to repeat their performance against these two teams.
